Note!

Urban Quest uses Augmented Reality (AR) as part of your event.

It is crucial to follow these steps to enable your phone to work with AR before the event day.

We recommend using Safari or Chrome as other browsers may not display AR correctly.

Before the game, consider closing all other tabs in your browser for better performance.

We recommend using your personal smartphone (rather than the work one if available) as it is often more capable of working with AR.

Make sure to always click Allow when prompted by your browser.

If you clicked Cancel in a browser dialogue popup, you will need to restart your browser. Exit the browser application and reopen it again.

Now follow these steps to get your smartphone ready to work with AR:

iPhone OS/Safari
  • Go to the phone Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services (should be ON)

    Then scroll down

    Camera → Allow Location Services (should be While Using the App)

    Safari → Allow Location Services (should be While Using the App)

  • Go to Safari browser → click “Settings” in the address bar → ... → Both Camera and Location should be set as Allow
iPhone OS/Chrome
  • Go to the phone Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services (should be ON)

    Then scroll down

    Camera → Allow Location Services (should be While Using the App)

    Chrome → Allow Location Services (should be While Using the App)

Google Android/Chrome
  • Go to the phone Settings → Location → Access My Location (should be ON)
  • Also in Settings go to Apps → Manage Apps:
    • Camera → Permissions → Camera and Location (Both should be set as Allow)
    • Chrome → Permissions → Camera and Location (Both should be set as Allow)
  • Go to Chrome browser → click 3 Dots (top right) → Settings → Site Settings:

    Location (toggle is enabled)

    Camera (toggle is enabled)
